The Weakness of God

The foolishness of God is wiser than men.

The Weakness of God
He who believes in the Gospel must become weak and foolish before men so that he may be strong and wise in the power and wisdom of God, as 1 Corinthians 1:27, 25 tells us: "The weak and foolish things of the world God chose that He might confound the strong and wise. The weakness and foolishness of God is stronger and wiser than men." Therefore, when you hear that the power of God is soon rejected, you must recognize this as a manifestation of the power of men, or of the world and the flesh. Thus all power and wisdom and righteousness must be hidden and buried and not apparent, altogether according to the image and likeness of Christ, who emptied Himself so that He might completely hide His power, wisdom, and goodness and instead put on weakness, foolishness, and hardship.
