Family Reunion
He had also seven sons and three daughters. And he called the name of the first daughter Jemimah, and the name of the second Keziah, and the name of the third Keren-happuch.

Family Reunion
For many, family reunions are a time to come together and see friends and relatives we don’t ordinarily get to see. We talk about growing up and memories from the past as well as recalling those family members who have passed away. And though we may miss them and speak fondly of them, we know that we will have a future family reunion one day in heaven to be reunited with all the faithful who have gone before. This truth is displayed here in these verses. It has been said that God seems to put more importance on the material possessions of Job than on his family. After all, all of his livestock was doubled but when it came to his children he did not have twice as many. But this is not true, because even though Job’s children had died the separation was only temporary. They awaited him in heaven. So when God blessed Job with ten more children his family did double in size. What comfort this gives to those of us who have lost loved ones! We will one day join all those who have died in the faith. Christ’s death and resurrection assure us of this. We have the promise of eternity with Christ along with all the faithful. What a family reunion that will be!
