Faith in Christ

9 Though we speak in this way, yet in your case, beloved, we feel sure of better things—things that belong to salvation. 10 For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints, as you still do. 11 And we desire each one of you to show the same earnestness to have the full assurance of hope until the end, 12 so that you may not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

Faith in Christ
In the name of the Father and the +Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen. There would be no acceptable work and there would be no love if God had not planted faith in your heart. This faith connects itself to Jesus and to his cross. The faith you have is the work of the Holy Spirit. He brings the Word of God to you in preached Word and in Sacraments given. The full benefit and work of the cross and the resurrection of Jesus are credited to you and faith won’t let it go. This the hope you have. This is the good works you do. This is why you love. Jesus has transformed you and your mind has been renewed. In the name of +Jesus. Amen.
