“Do two walk together, unless they have agreed to meet? Does a lion roar in the forest, when he has no prey? Does a young lion cry out from his den, if he has taken nothing? Does a bird fall in a snare on the earth, when there is no trap for it? Does a snare spring up from the ground, when it has taken nothing? Is a trumpet blown in a city, and the people are not afraid? Does disaster come to a city, unless the LORD has done it? “For the Lord GOD does nothing without revealing his secret to his servants the prophets. The lion has roared; who will not fear? The Lord GOD has spoken; who can but prophesy?”

Prophecy Revealed
The Lord’s work is not a secret. He has revealed all his works to the prophets who have announced them. Even the apostles told the religious establishment that they could not help but announce from the roof tops the things which they had seen and heard. The Lord God wants his people to know his works. He wants them to know that he has come for them. He has planned a great rescue. He has orchestrated a grand rescue. He has bartered the price. All the planning is over and all the rescuing has been accomplished. You have been bought back. The ransom has been paid by Jesus. He used his precious blood and his innocent suffering and death to free you and to restore you to your station. You are a child of God again. You have a heavenly Father. All these things he wants you to know. He gives you his Word to explore and study. He gives you pastors to preach these mysteries into your ears. The Holy Spirit uses this preaching to call you, enlighten you, and to sanctify you as God’s own child. The Lion of the Tribe of Judah has roared his victory roar. The devil’s head is crushed. Death is undone. Live is ours again.
