Bondservants of Christ
Bondservants, obey your earthly masters with fear and trembling, with a sincere heart, as you would Christ, not by the way of eye-service, as people-pleasers, but as bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart, rendering service with a good will as to the Lord and not to man, knowing that whatever good anyone does, this he will receive back from the Lord, whether he is a bondservant or is free.

Bondservants of Christ
We often enter into slavery without even realizing it. We become slaves to our addictions, to our careers, to our passions. They control us and dictate all that we do. And too often destroy everything around us, including our own lives. Here, Paul describes the vocations of master and servant, but Paul’s description of the Christian life is not exhaustive but gives common examples of vocations, or callings, in life. Today, God calls us to serve Him and other people selflessly and lovingly and be conscious of our relationship with Christ. Not to be slaves of our passions but bondservants of Christ. We should examine our lives and our callings. The Lord will forgive our shortcomings and strengthen us to be Christlike. No matter how we serve in our families or society, we are His children and servants through His Holy Child, Jesus. May our Father grant that we fulfill our calling before Him.
