The Command of the Lord
37 If anyone thinks that he is a prophet, or spiritual, he should acknowledge that the things I am writing to you are a command of the Lord. 38 If anyone does not recognize this, he is not recognized. 39 So, my brothers, earnestly desire to prophesy, and do not forbid speaking in tongues. 40 But all things should be done decently and in order.

The Command of the Lord
Prophecy is the teaching of the Christ that has come for the world. Prophecy has a fulcrum. The cross serves as the point of all its message. Those prophets that came before the cross preached ahead to it and those that came after preached of that which came and is. The foundation of the Church is the Word of Christ and his cross as it is preached and proclaimed among his people. Thus God saves the world by the message of his cross. God preserves order and peace by the very Word that saves. So insist that everything done in the church, everything done in your life, everything in your children's lives, be done with the cross of Christ as the foundation. This Christ and his cross is the immovable stone that preserves and keeps.
