Great Struggle
For I want you to know how great a struggle I have for you and for those at Laodicea and for all who have not seen me face to face, that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, to reach all the riches of full assurance of understanding and the knowledge of God’s mystery, which is Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. I say this in order that no one may delude you with plausible arguments. For though I am absent in body, yet I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your good order and the firmness of your faith in Christ.

Great Struggle
The Lord Jesus binds us together as his holy people. We are grafted into him and grafted together by his work. That means that the great struggles of our fellow believers are our struggles, too. That means that the salvation won for you is won for them, too. The hidden treasures are manifest in Christ. He is revealed to us. The crucified One is risen for us that we would rejoice in the faith. The great struggles we face, Jesus fights for us and with us. We struggle now, but we know that Christ has won the war. We know that he rose from the dead for us and that he will never die again. He is the master over all our enemies. Thanks be to God that he has bound us together with Christ as his holy people.
